DonnaSingle11_2008.jpgDonna Stefanov, Secretary

Donna Stefanov lost her daughter to adoption in February of 1969, after turning 18 that December. She found her daughter in October, 2006 through a search angel in California. Like others on the Board, Donna is slowly learning about the realities of adoption and its effect upon mothers, children, and adopting parents. Donna would like to see adoption crimes stopped. She is new to OUSA.

Donna works for a State Agency in the State of Texas as a Network Specialist.

In addition to her found daughter, she has one raised son and between them there are now six grandchildren (three girls and three boys).

Donna can be reached at: dstefanov@origins-usa.org or 512-864-7940

Jesse Jordan, Vice President for Special Projects

Jesse.jpg

Jesse Jordan, a mother in Portland, Oregon, is the new volunteer Book and Movie List Coordinator and Board member.  Jesse lost her daughter to adoption in 1958 in Tennessee and found her three years ago after a 30-year search.  Sadly, her daughter has denied contact. Jesse recently retired after 26 years with the Juvenile Rights Project, a non-profit law firm representing children in foster care and those charged with crimes. Jesse is in a mother's support group in Portland and wishes that every mother had access to the wonderful support of others who understand the lifelong fallout from losing a child.

The photo is Jesse seeing her daughter, a jazz musician, for the first time in 50 years!

Jesse can be reached at: jjordan@origins-usa.org
